Gardaí have launched an appeal for information after a 27-year-old man was shot dead in Tallaght last night.

Gardaí have launched an appeal for information after a 27-year-old man was shot dead in Tallaght last night.

He was shot several times as he sat in a car with his 26-year-old partner and a child outside their home in Tymon North Park just after 8pm last night.

A handgun and two cars have been recovered as part of the murder investigation and three men have been arrested.

Gardaí are now appealing for information on two other men and two cars used to flee the scene.

Both suspects are described as well built, in their late twenties, around 5ft 8in tall and wearing black.

One fled into Tymon North gardens and was picked up by a waiting blue Volkswagen Passat, with a 06 Wicklow registration, and then a 00 Dublin registered silver Nissan Primera.
