PSNI launch double-murder inquiry in Armagh

Police in the North have launched a double-murder inquiry after the bodies of a man and a woman were found shot dead in a flat in Co Armagh.

They were discovered at around 6pm yesterday evening in Craigavon.

Police sources have played down fears of a dissident republican link to the murder while initial theories suggested gangland criminals may be to blame.

The area has been cordoned off and detectives have appealed for anyone who witnessed anything suspicious near the scene to come forward.
