Record boss denies conspiracy against Will
The boss of BMG records has insisted there's no conspiracy against Will Young.
BMG managing director Ged Doherty has spoken out after claims the record company were favouring Gareth Gates over Will.
He says both Will and Gareth are "very special talents."
Doherty told The Sun: "We've been knocked out by the amazing level of support for both Will and Gareth.
"The TV show Pop Idol was clearly a competition with a winner and that winner was Will Young.
"I'm sure you will see both of them develop and mature in different ways over the next few years, but there was only one winner of the Pop Idol TV show."
