Norton thrilled by move to Ross slot
Graham Norton is "thrilled" his TV show will replace Jonathan Ross' Friday night slot on BBC One.
The chatshow host - whose programme 'The Graham Norton Show' has been running since February 2007, and has previously fronted 'V Graham Norton' and 'So Graham Norton' - is delighted to have been moved across to fill the spot left vacant by the closure of 'Friday Night with Jonathan Ross' last month.
He said: "I'm thrilled that BBC One like the show enough to move it to Fridays. It's the night the show started on many years ago so it's nice to be back."
Graham has already fronted seven series of the show for the BBC, and will celebrate his 501st episode when it airs on October 22 for a 12-week run.
BBC One controller Jay hunt said: "Graham's show has gone from strength to strength since moving to BBC One and I'm sure the audience will love his unique blend of comedy and entertainment on a Friday night."
Jonathan fought back tears as he recorded his last episode of his chatshow last month, admitting he was "grateful, lucky and honoured" to have had his own show there.
He quit the BBC following a row over obscene phonecalls made on his radio show with Russell Brand.
