A two-year-old girl died in a house fire in Co Kerry in the early hours of this morning.

A two-year-old girl died in a house fire in Co Kerry in the early hours of this morning.

The toddler was pronounced dead after firefighters were called to the blaze in O’Sullivan Place, Killarney, at about 5.30am.

Gardaí said two other people were in the house at the time but managed to escape without injury.

It is believed neighbours may have helped rescue them from a front bedroom.
