The Government and Aer Lingus are expected to announce details of the planned flotation of the national airline today.
Reports this morning say details of the initial public offering will be revealed this afternoon by Minister for Transport Martin Cullen and Aer Lingus chief executive Dermot Mannion.
The company will reportedly seek a dual listing in Dublin and London, with trading due to begin before the end of next month.
This morning's reports say Aer Lingus will use the proceeds of the sale to part fund an ambitious fleet expansion that is expected to result in new orders for €2bn worth of aircraft.
