First ever crematorium outside Dublin opening in Cork
The first crematorium outside Dublin is to open in Cork harbour on Monday.
Until now, families from the south of Ireland opting for this type of funeral service had to travel to one of the three crematoriums in Dublin.
This new facility is expected to cater for around 700 cremations in its first year.
Almost 30% of funerals that take place in Dublin involve crematoriums.
