€2m investment to prevent Cobh landslides

An additional €2m to be spent on tackling landslides in Cobh in Co Cork.

The Minister for the Environment Phil Hogan has announced the funding, which will allow for the completion of works on 37 slopes most at risk.

Substantial work has already been carried out to try to prevent landslides in Cobh and the Government previously allocated €1.5m to the scheme.
