An Irish theatre company has claimed responsibility for a flash mob that descended on the White House to celebrate Valentines' Day.
One hundred couples locked lips in an impromptu smooching session to the amazement of sightseers on Pennsylvania Avenue yesterday evening.
It has emerged that the romantic spectacle was the work of Kildare-based theatre company The Performance Corporation.
Last year, the company brought Dublin's Dame Street to a standstill with an impromptu ceili outside the Central Bank.
