Man charged over Drogheda murder

A 32-year-old man was charged today with the murder of a man in Drogheda, Co Louth, yesterday morning.

A 32-year-old man was charged today with the murder of a man in Drogheda, Co Louth, yesterday morning.

The man was due to appear at a special sitting of Drogheda District Court later today charged with the murder of Martin Murray.

Mr Murray, from Palace Street in the town was found dead near Mill Lane flats after an occupant in the complex alerted gardaí.

His body was found at the bottom of a flight of steps leading into the apartment block.
