CSO figures show rise in retail sales
The volume of retail sales increased by 2.3% in January, when compared with December, according to the Central Statistics Office.
The largest increase was in the Motor Trade, which went up by more than 6%, as people bought new 141 plate vehicles.
There was a rise of 8.9% on the annual retail sales.
