A former catering worker at the top security Castlereagh base outside Belfast is being questioned in the US about files missing since last month's raid.

It is believed the FBI is liaising with police in the North over the detention of the former civilian employee who left Castlereagh shortly after the break-in.

Detectives have travelled to America to aid in the questioning.

Meanwhile, a Belfast man arrested in the continuing investigation in the raid has been charged with possessing information likely to be of use to terrorists.

The charges against 29-year-old John O'Hagan, an unemployed man from the Catholic New Lodge area of north Belfast, are not connected with the break-in.
