A couple and their two young sons have escaped injury in a gun attack on their house in Co Antrim early today.

A couple and their two young sons have escaped injury in a gun attack on their house in Co Antrim early today.

The PSNI said a number of shots were fired at the house on Ballymacrea Road in Portrush at around 12.30am, while the family was asleep.

Nobody was injured in the shooting, but the bullets narrowly missed the children’s bedrooms.

The PSNI is investigating a motive for the attack.
