ISPCC criticises leniency of court sentence

The Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children has criticised the sentence handed down to a former Garda found guilty of child pornography charges.

The Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children has criticised the sentence handed down to a former Garda found guilty of child pornography charges.

41-year-old Kieran O'Halloran was jailed for two years today for attempting to solicit a child and possession of child pornography.

Paul Gilligan, the chief executive of the ISPCC, said Mr O'Halloran got away lightly.
