Saving scheme must be cut, warn experts

Economists at a conference in County Kerry increased fears this evening that the economy could be in a worse condition than has been forecast to date.

Economists at a conference in County Kerry increased fears this evening that the economy could be in a worse condition than has been forecast to date.

Officials warned that Government cuts in spending may be even more severe next year because of disturbing trends in public spending.

Financial experts were attending an economic workshop in County Kerry when the warning was made.

Officials are also calling on the Government to scrap the special saving scheme incentive.
