‘Questions and Answers’ to be axed

RTÉ is planning to cancel ‘Questions and Answers’.

RTÉ is planning to cancel ‘Questions and Answers’.

The State broadcaster has said this afternoon that it has taken the decision in light of other commitments which presenter John Bowman has signed up to.

The programme has been running for 22 years, with Bowman at the helm for 21 of those years.

It will finish at the end of the current season in June.

John Bowman is to write a history of RTÉ television to mark its 50th anniversary.

He will also present, and act as consulting editor for, a series of documentaries on television’s impact on modern Ireland, which is being considered for the anniversary.
