The Minister for Education is under pressure to account for every child that was confined to a Magdalene laundry since the foundation of the State.

The Justice for Magdalenes group says Batt O'Keeffe has revised his position and now acknowleges that the State did refer individuals to the laundries

The group has said this admission provides a basis for the establishment of a redress scheme for Magdalene survivors.

They will meet with officials from the Department of Education today to demand full disclosure of records in relation to Magadelene woman and children.
