Man recovers in hospital following attack

A man is being treated in hospital after being attacked by a number of people in North Belfast.

A man is being treated in hospital after being attacked by a number of people in North Belfast.

Police are investigating the incident which occurred at 10.45pm last night at Deerpark road.

The victim, believed to be in his late thirties, was walking near the Alliance Crescent area and was set upon by a number of people, at least one of whom was armed with a bat.

The man suffered leg and head injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.
