Benfica will unveil Pablo Aimar later on Thursday after wrapping up a deal to sign the Argentinian playmaker from Real Zaragoza.
The club announced on their website that Aimar will be introduced to the media at a press conference scheduled for 8pm local time.
Late on Wednesday, Benfica agreed a €6.5m fee with Zaragoza for the 28-year-old, who will sign a four-year deal which includes a release clause worth €20m.
Aimar announced at the end of the season that he wanted to leave Zaragoza following their relegation, and his availability attracted several clubs, including Newcastle and Everton.
