Louth assault victim dies

A man who was assaulted over the weekend in County Louth has died in hospital.

A man who was assaulted over the weekend in County Louth has died in hospital.

The 25-year-old was attacked in the Clogherhead area of Drogheda in the early hours of Sunday morning.

He was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital where he was pronounced dead this afternoon.

Gardaí are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the attack to contact gardaí at Drogheda.
