Gardaí in Co. Mayo are appealing for witnesses to a fatal car crash yesterday evening.

Gardaí in Co. Mayo are appealing for witnesses to a fatal car crash yesterday evening.

The 38-year-old male driver of one of the two cars involved in the collision died. A woman who was travelling as his passenger survived.

She, and the driver of the other car, are being treated at Castlebar General Hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

It happened on the N17 between Ballindine and Claremorris, in the townland of Lisduff, Co. Mayo, just before 5pm yesterday evening.
