Employers' federation IBEC says Ireland must regain its competitive edge as negotiations on a successor to the PPF get underway.

IBEC's Brendan McGinty says employers will seek alternatives to social partnership if their demands aren’t met.

He says the groups would like to see a consensus approached, restoring competitiveness to centre stage tackling issues such as inflation, a low tax environment and value for money for our public services.
