Cannabis worth around €20,000 has been seized in Galway.

Cannabis worth around €20,000 has been seized in Galway.

Officers from Revenues Customs Service and the gardaí impounded 8kgs of herbal cannabis following a raid on a house in Ballybane.

A female non-national in her thirties has been arrested.

She's being questioned at Mill Street garda station in Galway.

The drugs had earlier arrived by airmail package from South Africa, via Dublin Airport.
