Woman found dead in Limerick hotel is identified

Gardaí in Limerick believe they have identified a woman who was found dead in a city centre hotel yesterday afternoon.

Staff at the Clarion Hotel on the Dock Road found the woman lying face down in a bathtub.

The State Pathologist, Doctor Marie Cassidy, has conducted a post mortem examination on the body at the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick.

The preliminary results are due later this evening.

Gardai are still treating the death as highly suspicious and are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.
