There are fears of further disruption for Aer Lingus passengers today after a row over the introduction of new rosters for cabin crew grounded two flights yesterday.
Yesterday Aer Lingus cancelled an out-going and return flight from Dublin to Boston following what it said was the refusal of cabin crew to work the new roster system.
But IMPACT, the union representing cabin crew, blamed Aer Lingus, saying the cancellations were avoidable.
Cabin crew and management at the airline have been embroiled in a row for more than three months.
Workers have been engaging in a work-to-rule over the introduction of the new rosters, which are being brought in to bring down costs at the airline.
In a warning to workers last week, Aer Lingus management said staff who refuse to work the new rosters face being taken off the payroll.
However IMPACT says its action continues, meaning there could be further disruption on the cards for passengers today.
