Turkey has won the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest in Riga, Latvia.

Turkey has won the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest in Riga, Latvia.

The winning song was called Everyway That I Can and was sung by Sertab Erener, who has had album sales of 4 million in her native Turkey.

Ireland's entry, We've Got The World, sung by Mickey Joe Harte from Lifford, Co Donegal, finished a disappointing 11th even though the UK gave Ireland the maximum vote of 12 points.

The UK failed to score any points.
