Dublin man in court charged in connection stabbing

A man has appeared before a special sitting of Dublin District Court, charged in connection with a stabbing yesterday morning.

A man has appeared before a special sitting of Dublin District Court, charged in connection with a stabbing yesterday morning.

Glen Dempsey, aged 26, of Granby Hostel, Dominic Street in Dublin 1 was charged with serious assault, following an incident at Mornington in East Meath.

The 46-year-old victim is in a stable condition in Our Lady of Lourdes hospital in Drogheda.

Mr Dempsey has been remanded in custody with consent to bail, and will appear in court again on Friday.
