A search will resume off the Co Kerry coast this morning for a Polish man who fell into the water while walking.

It is believed he had stopped to take a photograph when he fell.

A group of friends who saw the man stumble off the cliffs near Kerry Head yesterday evening raised the alarm, but an air and sea search failed to find him.

The Shannon-based helicopter and the Ballybunion lifeboat were involved in the operation, which was called off for the night.
