Voting has started at the Ulster Unionist Party's ruling council meeting in the latest showdown between party leader, David Trimble, and the Anti-Agreement faction of the party, led by Jeffrey Donaldson MP.

Voting has started at the Ulster Unionist Party's ruling council meeting in the latest showdown between party leader, David Trimble, and the Anti-Agreement faction of the party, led by Jeffrey Donaldson MP.

At issue is whether the party should take disciplinary action against Mr Donaldson and two other MPs for defying an earlier vote, but defeat could herald the end of Mr Trimble's leadership of the party.
