SF MEP Liadh Ní Riada believes 'she is more effective in Europe'

Sinn Féin MEP Liadh Ní Riada says she will not run for the Dáil seat in next year's general elections.

The Ireland South MEP is adamant that she will see out her five-year term in the European Parliament.

She believes at the moment, she is more effective in Europe than she would be as a TD.

"I feel I'm much more effective here in Brussels and in Strasburg rather than being in the Dáil at home, so certainly it is not on my radar at all and you won't see me running for election at home, certainly not this term."
