Road reopens after Army clears suspect device

The N4 Dublin to Longford Rd has reopened at Cloonahussey following an earlier security alert in the Corboy area.

The N4 Dublin to Longford Rd has reopened at Cloonahussey following an earlier security alert in the Corboy area.

All diversions have been lifted.

An Army bomb disposal team carried out a controlled explosion on a suspect device outside an address on the N4 near Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford.

The scene was declared safe at 5pm and the remains of the device will be handed over to the Gardaí.
