Aer Corps gets islander home for Christmas

The Aer Corps search and rescue helicopter has airlifted a hospital patient back to his home on Tory Island to allow him to get home in time for Christmas.

The Aer Corps search and rescue helicopter has airlifted a hospital patient back to his home on Tory Island to allow him to get home in time for Christmas.

The man was involved in a road accident early on Sunday and was the airlifted by the Aer Corps to Letterkenny Hospital for treatment to head injuries.

Today when he was released he had no way of getting home, so the Aer Corps came to his rescue.
