Three people have been killed in two separate road accidents overnight.

Three people have been killed in two separate road accidents overnight.

Two drivers were killed and a passenger seriously injured when their cars collided in Co Tipperary, gardai said today.

The victims, a 65-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man, died instantly in the crash at Lackamore, Newport, at around 7pm last night.

A passenger who was seriously injured in the crash was taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital.

Meanwhile, a 35-year-old pedestrian was killed in an accident in Ballincollig, Co Cork.
