Man critical following murder attempt in Belfast

A man is in a critical condition in hospital following an attempted murder in west Belfast.

A man is in a critical condition in hospital following an attempted murder in west Belfast.

The victim, who is in his early fifties, was attacked by two men armed with a baseball bat at a house on Ross Street.

It is thought the man was at home when the pair forced their way into the house.

PSNI detectives say they are treating the attack as an attempted murder and are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
