The England team will wear black armbands in memory of Emlyn Hughes in tonight’s friendly international against Spain.
Hughes, who was capped 62 times by England and captained his country, died last week after a long battle against a brain tumour.
Keith Weller, a former Leicester and England defender, will also be remembered tonight.
Football Association spokesman Adrian Bevington said: “The England players will be wearing black armbands in tribute to a great servant to English football who was renowned for his passion for the game.
“Our thoughts are also with the family of Keith Weller who also died recently.”
A memorial service will be held for Hughes in Sheffield today and representatives from the Football Association will be in attendance.
