The Minister for Agriculture has described the latest foot-and-mouth outbreak in Surrey as 'disappointing but not surprising'.
According to Mary Coughlan the situation is an evolving one that will be closely monitored.
It was confirmed earlier that cattle culled on a second farm near Egham tested positive for the disease.
Minister Coughlan says she will not hesitate in introducing further controls if the situation changes.
Department of Agriculture officials are maintaining contact with DEFRA and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in Belfast.
