A lorry-driver in his 50's has died in a road crash in Co Offaly this morning.

A lorry-driver in his 50's has died in a road crash in Co Offaly this morning.

It happened on the Bracknagh to Monasterevin Road - when the articulated truck he was driving left the road shortly after 8pm.

The man in his 50's was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road has been closed as Gardaí carry out a forensic examination.
