Comedienne Ellen DeGeneres has hinted she will wed longtime love Portia De Rossi after California's gay marriage laws were relaxed last Thursday.
The state lifted a ban on gay marriage at California Supreme Court - and DeGeneres hinted she could be one of the first up the aisle.
"I'm thrilled that the California supreme court overturned the ban on gay marriage," she said.
"I can't wait to get married. We all deserve the same rights, and I believe that someday we'll look back on this and not allowing gays to marry will seem as absurd as not allowing women to vote."
Meanwhile, sources on the set of the 'Ellen DeGeneres Show' claim the star announced her plans to marry during filming. According to TMZ.com, Madonna recorded a message for the couple.
