Roy Keane has turned on his Manchester United team-mates ahead of their clash with Arsenal.
The United skipper has questioned whether they have given their all after a season which threatens to end with no trophies.
Keane vented his frustration in an interview with MUTV in which he said players needed to "stand up and be counted".
He also suggested that some of his team-mates were not prepared to give 100% commitment.
Keane said: "There are a lot of cover-ups sometimes and players need to stand up and be counted.
"I'm not sure that happens a lot at this club. That's the least we should do. We shouldn't have to demand it from the players - they should be proud to play and give 100%.
"We're not asking for miracles. We're asking them to do what they should be doing. When players don't do that it's bloody frustrating.
"We're going to find it hard to win the league and if we end up with no trophies there's something wrong."
When United bowed out of Europe last season Keane insisted there was a need for an injection of fresh blood at Old Trafford.
Veron arrived, along with Ruud van Nistelrooy, as United spent heavily in the hope of conquering Europe this season.
But United will finish trophy-less this season if Arsenal draw or win at Old Trafford - and clinch a League and Cup double - and Keane is not impressed.
He added: "We should be winning European Cups but good players don't necessarily make good teams. We've not done the business.
"We need to put in a good performance against Arsenal. We need to repair the damage."
