Dublin bank worker kidnapped

A Bank of Ireland worker and her husband were kidnapped in North County Dublin this morning.

A Bank of Ireland worker and her husband were kidnapped in North County Dublin this morning.

The woman was forced to go to a Bank of Ireland branch in North Dublin and hand over a substantial amount of cash.

The couple have been released unharmed and Gardaí have launched an investigation.

Bank of Ireland said its internal security processes were activated and it has launched its own investigation.
