A leading pharmaceutical firm has announced plans to create 200 new jobs at its plant in Co Cork over the next five years.

A leading pharmaceutical firm has announced plans to create 200 new jobs at its plant in Co Cork over the next five years.

Eli Lilly says the positions will be created as part of the expansion of its existing site in Dunderrow, Kinsale.

The new €400m facility will produce medicines to treat illnesses including cancer, diabetes and alzheimers.

Eli Lilly employs more than 400 people in Dunderrow.
