Man due in court in connection with shopkeeper killing

A man is due to appear in court in Wicklow this morning charged in connection with the murder of an Arklow shopkeeper three months ago.

A man is due to appear in court in Wicklow this morning charged in connection with the murder of an Arklow shopkeeper three months ago.

John Deasy died after he was stabbed outside his shop on Coolgreany Road in Arklow on November 25.

The father-of-two had walked in on a robbery in the shop and was stabbed in the chest.

A 19-year-old man will be charged in relation to his death at a sitting of Arklow District Court at 10.30am this morning.
