Cloyne report to be published in May: Shatter

Justice Minister Alan Shatter says he hopes to publish the Cloyne report in early May.

Justice Minister Alan Shatter says he hopes to publish the Cloyne report in early May.

The report was due to be published this week but has been delayed due to legal issues.

Mr Shatter said the Government has to treat the issue carefully and responsibly.

"I am anticipating at the very earliest, it (Cloyne report), won't be published till the second week in May," Mr Shatter said.

"Baring in mind that we're coming into the Easter vacation period where I would hope it will be published at that time, and quite clearly if the difficulties prove to be intractable, they will require further direction from the High Court.

"We have to deal with this issue responsibly."
