Killarney coming to terms with road death of four teenagers

The people of Killarney are coming to terms today with the loss of four young people from the area in yesterday morning's horrific car crash.

The people of Killarney are coming to terms today with the loss of four young people from the area in yesterday morning's horrific car crash.

Two brothers, David and Kevin Breen, aged 17 and 15 and from Ballyspillane in Killarney died when the car they were travelling in crashed on the Killarney to Mallow Road.

A 15-year-old girl - Aine Riordan from Castleisland - was also pronounced dead at the scene while a 19-year-old man - Brian Coffey from Killarney died later in hospital.

A fifth teenager remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.
