A €3bn master plan for the regeneration of Limerick's troubled housing estates in due to be unveiled today.

A €3bn master plan for the regeneration of Limerick's troubled housing estates in due to be unveiled today.

The document, which runs to more than 200 pages, sets out a vision for the social, physical and economic regeneration of the estates and recommends a citywide approach to the problem.

Under the plan, 3,000 homes in Moyross, Southill, St Mary's Park and Ballinacurra-Weston are due to be completely demolished and rebuilt.
