A number of patients have been transferred from Wexford Regional Hospital following an overnight power-cut.
Up to 1,000 homes around Wexford town were left without electricity after a black-out caused by a fault on the line and bad weather.
ESB emergency crews are still working to restore power to about 400 households in the area.
A company spokesman said the local hospital decided to move some patients when its back-up generator failed to kick in.
