Dublin City Council is warning that water shortages are inevitable if the current spell of dry weather continues.

The Dublin region has had only a third of its normal rainfall for this time of year and the level of water in reservoirs is beginning to reduce significantly.

Water engineer with Dublin City Council Brian Hennelly is urging businesses and households to help avoid water restrictions by conserving as much water as possible.
