Gardaí question man in connection with Thurles assault
Gardaí are continuing to question a 22-year-old man over a serious assault in Thurles, County Tipperary yesterday.
The 25-year-old victim is in a critical condition in a Clonmel hospital.
Gardaí are appealing to witnesses to the assault, which happened in the early hours of yesterday morning on Liberty Square in Thurles, to come forward.
