McCarthy to chair advisory group on sale of state firms

The Minister for Finance has set up a special group to advise the Government on the sell-off of state companies.

The Minister for Finance has set up a special group to advise the Government on the sell-off of state companies.

It will be chaired by the Economist Colm McCarthy, who also headed up An Bord Snip Nua last year.

The group will recommend which state companies should be sold off, reformed or done away with.
