Two killed in overnight road accidents

Gardaí are investigating two separate road accidents this morning that left two men dead.

An 18-year old and a man in his 40s were killed in Cork and Kildare.

The first accident happened at 2.20am on the M7 near Kildare town.

A man in his 40s was killed when the jeep he was driving crashed into a barrier on the centre median of the road.

At 2.40am in Bandon, Co Cork, an 18-year old man died in a single-vehicle accident.

The victims’ names have not yet been released.
